Our Story

Living Soil Management (LSM) began with a conviction, not a product. Its founder, Josh Adams, grew up in agriculture and saw the toll that conventional practices were taking—weakening soils, straining farmers, and sacrificing long-term health for short-term gain. He envisioned a different path: one rooted in soil science, practical farming experience, and a belief that true prosperity comes from working with nature, not against it. LSM was created to give farmers more than yields—it was built to secure their legacy, restore their land, and prove that agriculture can be both profitable and regenerative.

Josh’s awakening came in his mid-20s, when he purchased his first farm. During a severe insect outbreak, he hired a spray plane to protect his crops. But when a gust of wind carried chemicals onto his own lawn, the acrid smell stopped him in his tracks. “It completely offended my senses,” he recalled. In that moment, he realized: if growing food required toxins that felt so wrong, something was fundamentally broken.

Determined to find a better way, Josh immersed himself in the “why” behind farming. His search led him to microbiology—the unseen life in the soil that fuels healthy plants, animals, and people. Through years of trial and innovation, he developed methods that cut input costs by 15.6% and boosted yields by as much as 44%. Across 2,600 acres, in multiple soil types and climates, the results held true for more than 15 years.

The path forward was undeniable. Josh had unlocked a system that worked—and he knew it needed to be shared. Out of that realization, Living Soil Management was born. Today, Josh and LSM actively manage farms across North America, showing farmers firsthand that farming without chemicals isn’t a dream or a risk—it’s the surest way to abundance, profitability, and a future worth passing on.

Our Mission

The mission of Living Soil Management is simple yet profound: to eliminate reliance on pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and chemical fertilizers of any kind by physically implementing regenerative agriculture techniques. This approach enhances soil health, reduces costs for farmers, and contributes to the production of healthier crops and food — ultimately benefiting human health and environmental sustainability.

THE LSM WAY

Healthy soil is a living ecosystem — teeming with microorganisms that cycle nutrients, retain water, and suppress disease. LSM restores these natural processes at scale using proven regenerative techniques such as cover cropping, reduced tillage, organic amendments, and integrated pest management. Our proprietary systems (with multiple patents pending) allow regenerative farming to be not only ideal, but achievable on an unlimited scale.
